What is Christmas?
A holiday, giving gifts, setting beautiful lights and decorations, having a great time with family and friends…. But what is the true meaning of Christmas? For many, it’s a family tradition, for kids, it may be Santa Claus 🙂
Everything about Christmas is beautiful and lovely, but I don’t want to forget what its true meaning is. Besides the gifts under the Christmas tree, the traditional Nativity, and the great time with our loved ones…
I don’t want to forget what’s most important: Love.
A Love so great and perfect that gave up beauty and royalty to get closer to the object of His love.
A Love so perfect that chose to take the worst to give us the best.
A Love that doesn’t keep anything good for himself, even if it meant to die the worst of deaths so that we could live the good life He prepared for us.
This Love is the best gift anyone could ever have, and I’m so grateful that I can enjoy it. Love changed me and my life. Love saved me and gave me the reason to live.
This year, besides the gifts under the Christmas tree, don’t forget to receive that beautiful gift too. He’s always knocking at the door of your heart, always ready to be welcomed in…
“This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need to be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life.” (Jhon 3:16, The Message)
“God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.” ( 1 John 4:16. NIV)
“Neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” ( Romans 8:39, NIV)
